A*STARS Inter-School Quiz 2019
Congratulations to Woodlands Academy of Learning, winner of the A*STARS inter-school quiz.
Pupils from around 20 primary schools went head to head in the 10th annual A*STARS Inter Schools Quiz.
Each year the quiz brings together students from across the borough to go head-to-head in a friendly inter-school competition. In the run up to the event, pupils took part in inter class quizzes in their schools to highlight how much they have learnt throughout the year. Four winning pupils, two from years 4 and two from year 5, were then selected to represent their school at the annual quiz, with the hope of winning the coveted A*STARS inter-schools trophy.
Congratulations to the winners Woodlands Academy of Learning, who were awarded prizes by the Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Paul Bott
2nd place was awarded to Pool Hayes Primary School and 3rd place to Emmanuel School.
As well as the quiz, students were able to take part in a drama workshop, run by Konflux Theatre. The workshop was a fun way to share their thoughts on road safety and different sustainable ways to travel to school.
