NEW Walk to School Month 2016!

For this year’s Walk to School campaign we have tasked children to take up the “Door to Door Challenge".

This is a fantastic opportunity to encourage children and their parents / carer to walk (scoot or cycle) to school and experience the health, social and economic benefits of leaving the car at home.

We have free resources including

  • A5 leaflet for each child
  • A3 Posters for schools

Children are encouraged to walk, cycle, scoot or ‘park & stride’ (park away and walk to school) during October.

At the end of the month, children will receive a bronze, silver or gold sticker depending on how many active journeys they make (6-8 = bronze, 9-11 = silver, 12-15 = gold).

Claim your stickers by completing the summary sheet on the website or email a summary of your results / stickers requested to the Traffic Safety Team

Resources (leaflets and posters) have been sent out to each school and the recording sheet can be located under the How to Guides – National and Regional Campaigns.
