Bike Week – Walsall Hour Record
This year’s Bike Week Campaign is based on the World Hour Record set by Sir Bradley Wiggins. In June, 2015, “Sir Brad” broke the World Hour Record cycling 54.5km’s in an hour (that’s over 35 miles!!!)
We may not be able to match Sir Bradley’s record but we do have a slightly simpler hour record challenge….
Our aim is to set our own record for how many hours of cycling A*STARS schools can do by the end of June!!!
A powerpoint explaining the challenge is available on the website, together with recording charts to record your progress.
As well as information on the overall challenge, school can also choose to compete individually or in teams.
KS1 children are encouraged to take part on their scooters if they prefer and
prizes are available on request.
At the end of June, we will add up all the hours of cycling to set the Walsall Hour Record. How many hours will we achieve?
